Product Description

Milatuzumab (also known as hLL1 or IMMU-115) is a humanized monoclonal antibody that targets CD74, the invariant chain associated with major histocompatibility complex class II (MHC-II). CD74 is a transmembrane glycoprotein that functions as a chaperone for MHC-II and also acts as a signaling receptor for the cytokine macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF). It is highly expressed on B cells, monocytes, macrophages, and many B-cell malignancies. Milatuzumab was developed as a potential therapy for B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) and multiple myeloma, with mechanisms including direct signaling-mediated apoptosis and antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC). It has also been investigated in autoimmune diseases due to CD74's role in immune cell activation.
