Product Description

Polatuzumab vedotin (commercial name Polivy®) is an antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) designed for targeted cancer therapy. It consists of a humanized anti-CD79b monoclonal antibody (polatuzumab) covalently linked to a potent cytotoxic agent, monomethyl auristatin E (MMAE), via a cleavable linker. The antibody component specifically delivers the cytotoxic payload to B-cells expressing the target protein.

Function

CD79b, a transmembrane protein that forms part of the B-cell receptor (BCR) complex alongside CD79a. CD79b is expressed specifically on the surface of mature B-cells and is notably present in the vast majority of B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphomas, including DLBCL, but not on most non-hematopoietic tissues.
