Tanezumab is a humanized monoclonal antibody targeting nerve growth factor (NGF). It binds to NGF, inhibiting its interaction with tropomyosin receptor kinase A (TrkA) and p75 neurotrophin receptors, thereby reducing pain signaling. It was developed for the treatment of chronic pain conditions such as osteoarthritis, chronic low back pain, and cancer pain, though regulatory approval has been limited due to safety concerns.

Function
